CHRIS BURKE
(Folk Rock)
The one-man brew-ha-ha that is Chris Burke is back - headlining at the
Live Room on 21st September. He'll be playing a bunch of stuff that's
so new, he hasn't even heard it himself yet.
THE RED SHOES
(Rock / Garage / Blues)
Two lads drinking coffee in a local cafe, talking about things such as eternity.
They begin to talk about putting their ideas into musical form as that
is the best way they can communicate their ideas with the surrounding
world. Queries and questions come into play on how to make the biggest sound
they can with just the two of them, their minds are wrapped with
possibilities and their creativity beginning to boil, they take the
only option. With their individual style of playing and their hypnotic wall of
sound, The Red Shoes will not disappoint and will leave you wanting
more of their dirty garage rock music.
A great man once said: "This world is a great sculptor’s shop. We are
the statues and there’s a rumor going around the shop that some of us
are someday going to come to life."
Welcome to The Red Shoes World.

DAVID STEVENSON
(Indie / Alternative / Folk Rock)
From a young age, David has been involved in a various number of bands including one that got to perform at glastonbury in 2003. From here David has gone from strength to strength and established himself as an acoustic singer/songwriter, and is building a solid following in both the digital, Myspace world, and on the real life gigging circuit.
Stylistically inspired by artists like Pete Murray, John Mayer, Ray Lamontagne, Damien Rice, Bob Dylan, The Police, Snow Patrol and early Elton John, David writes and delivers with perfection, melodies that burst with heartfelt and raw emotional energy. Avoiding the generic, he writes and performs with passion and a sincere and honest approach, all inspired by his own personal experiences and feelings. Seeing his songs as an extension of himself, he creates a unique and fearless sound, laced with beautiful and impassioned words confronting the confusion of the world around him.
