The newly formed 4-piece North London band could be described as a mix of rock, indie, pop and folk with rich melodies and soul-lifting hooks. The Collective was formed in the Autumn of 2008 with talented musicians who regularly performed at Joey Stone's Famous Open Mic Talent Showcase.
The Collective in their current format appear as Gianpiero Gaglione (Lead Vocal, Rhythm Guitar), John Chamberlain (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals), John Nixon (Drums and Percussion), Lanfranco Gaglione (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals).
In 2010 The Collective took part in the prestigious ‘Emergenza’ festival, a worldwide ‘battle of the bands’ competition. The band reached the uk final at The HMV Forum and eventually came 2nd from over 400 bands. Since then The Collective have been busy writing and improving their set and are currently lining up several gigs ahead of the next EP recording session in March.
T-Jays are a three piece acoustic covers band who have been rocking London and Barga in Italy since 2006.
Their set is an eclectic mix of good-timetunes from The Beatles to Kings of Leon with a bit of Elvis in-between.
Ted, Jeremy & Joe are all Palmers Green locals who have played several local venues including regular stints at the Waiting Rooms until its untimely closure.
The T-Jays sound has been called; "an acoustic wall of rock!" as they seem to be more than the sum of their parts when it comes to filling a venue with their music.
The band always aim to create a party atmosphere at whatever venue they play, with a set of good rockin' tunes that have audiences having as good a time dancing as the band are having playing.
Anja McCloskey is a half-German, half-American accordionist / singer-songwriter who currently resides in Southampton. She has already gained a raft of experience playing with the likes of ten-piece performance orchestra, The Irrepressibles and folk-rock trailblazers, Haunted Stereo. It is with Haunted Stereo that Anja discovered that much of her creative inspiration veered towards, and suited, a folk arrangement.
She released her first solo EP "Turn Turn Turn" on Sotones Records in September, and toured the US in February. With a single release lined up for July and an album planned for later in the year this will surely not be the last time you will hear of her. "I'm utterly blown away by her."
